Sunday Worship FAQ’s
1. What time is the service?
Our Sunday worship service is held at 10:30 AM. The target length time for each worship service is between an hour and an hour and 10 minutes. Generally, it is a good idea to show up for the service 15 minutes prior, but we welcome you at any time. Greeters and ushers are available at all services to help you find your way around.
2. What should I wear?
You may have heard the saying, "Wear your Sunday best". We have no dress code, but we do believe the sanctuary is the House of the Lord. You should dress how you feel comfortable, but also remember that you are in God's house.
3. Is nursery available?
Yes, nursery for infants to toddlers is available during all services.
4. Where do I park and sit?
Ample parking is available in the back of the church or handicapped parking is located in the front of the church. You can enter the church through any of the rear doors. The sanctuary is in the larger portion (left side when facing from the parking lot) of the church. Greeters and ushers are available to help seat you. We have seating both downstairs and in the balcony. Feel free to ask any usher, greeter, or church member to direct you to the nurseries or other children's ministries. We want you to feel at home at Cedar Hill Church.
5. What should I expect during the service?
A worship service is a meeting between God and His people. Congregational worship is a structured activity. The order of the service is outlined in the weekly "Sunday Bulletin". You receive a bulletin from the usher or greeter. See the ‘news items’ link on our home page for a sample of the bulletin.
6. What is expected of me during the service?
The main thing we want you to know is that you are among friends. As God's family, we enjoy celebrating with guests, and the God we serve welcomes you too. Jesus himself called his house a sanctuary for all people. There are no outsiders here, regardless of age, race, income or education. We hope it will be possible for you to participate fully. As you worship with us, you will not be embarrassed, tricked into something unexpected, or made to feel you do not belong. Don't worry about stumbling over something unfamiliar - no one will mind. Understand that worship matters a great deal to us. We hope it will to you as well!
